    Comments:

I own a 2011 Roubaix comp. A lot of people I know said I was insane purchasing a bicycle with such a price tag until they saw it. And now some of them are totally convinced! An excellent bicycle. The staff at the Stow location was very professional and knowledgeable helping me choose the proper fit and size. I cannot stay off of it. With it, I am well on my way to my 1st century ride. Kudos to the whole Specialized team. I'm a fan for life!

      Comments:

I have recently bought my frame [...].The seller reported the frame was to small for him.I got it in like new perfect condition.I proceeded to build it out with a full Dura Ace 7800 group and a 7801 wheel set rolling on Conti GP 4000 tires.I have installed a carbon stem and FSA carbon wing bars.I ride with a few guys who are avid Trek Project One fanatics. All of them ride "06 P1.They have ridden my bike and now are looking to get off of theirs and build new a P1I think this is a testament to the fact they know there is a better bike out there than Their Trek P1. I am spending more hours in the saddle and coming home less fatigued and adding about and extra 20 miles a day to my rides. I believe I am on course for 6000 miles this year just because I like my bike that much more and I keep riding along telling myself 'Man I really like this bike a lot" I don't think I would have enjoyed it as deeply if I had it built in a stock spec but my custom build made the bike a special machine.I am 6'2" 210 lbs and I have pretty strong legs so I know if I got stupid in my pedal strokes I could twist this frame but I know how to pedal so this frame works for me. If you are a strong heavy masher type of a rider you may want to get into a different carbon make up like an 8r or a 9r.In all I know I will be very happy and proud to ride this bike for at least 2 or 3 seasons and that will include both of my planned Tour of Colorado trips.

        Comments:

I'm 16 years old. This is my second Specialized bike. I previously owned a 2006 Allez Elite that I LOVED. I grew too much and had to get a new bike. We accidentally got a seriously good deal on 2008 Roubaix Comp and jumped on it. I know I'm lucky to have this bike at my age. It rides like a dream. I have about 1000 miles on this bike. I've barely had to make adjustments for shifters and derailleurs. No maintenance problems at all. Rode a century over Missouri country roads. Shock absorption was real nice. Rides smooth. Light frame climbs hills very well. I didn't think my Allez Elite needed improving, but this makes the hills even more effortless. Test drove Trek and Cannondale before this. For the same price point, Specialized has them all beat for a performance bicycle. If you can survive the price tag, buy this bike.

The bike rides really well and gets up to speed very quickly but would have liked it to be just a little less weight in the rear.

Bought this bike for my wife who has been riding seriously for about 7 years. From the first ride I noticed and extreme speed increase and endurance. After the ride she was still energetic and ready for more. Thanks Specialized!!!

              Comments:

Ride is tremendously smooth and receptive. Climbing or sprinting, the Roubaix does both well. Frame geometry and components, as well as the little details like Zertz inserts make the machine worth every penny. Researched the bike before purchase, as any buyer should, and became intrigued by vibration dampening technology...best way to see what it does is to test ride one without it and then hop on a Roubaix to compare.
